Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite outfits ever because:
1. I get a lot of compliments when I wear it
(even my threenager told me the other day, "Mama, you look bootiful.")
2. I feel pretty when I wear it.
3. It's super easy to breastfeed a baby in and looks NOTHING like a "Mom outfit."
(But's still easy peasy to assemble and run out the door)
Ready? Here it is:
So how the heck can you breastfeed a baby in it?
And in case you don't believe that that cute bottom is a skort?
If you like my outfit too (thanks!) I know what else you're thinking ... where is the skort from? Where is the top from? And how much is the whole thing? I'll start with the obvious:
This "Nasvhille Skort" from Free People is probably my favorite ($98):
Yeah - I think she looks crazy skinny too - but ignore that. The sizes go up to L (US10/12) and I think it would look super cute with the same navy top I have above and we have some other colors/styles that are just as cute to pair with it: black, white, navy, orange, baby pink and even YELLOW (for the bold).
Another one I like (and it's sporty and goes up to size US 16) is the "Upbeat Skort" from Athleta ($59):
I found this awesome Plus Size Floral Print Skort for only $21 (note, I think the sale ends today):
At last, but not least (seriously. Because if you google "Skorts" there will be THOUSANDS)
The "Floral Print Assymetrical Hem Skort" from INC ($45):
So there you have it - a small round up of skorts that you can pair super easy with a comfortable and basic breastfeeding top. Don't have any breastfeeding tops? Well let's start there. Go sign up for a Mama's MilkBox so we can get you something ASAP (Please note there is currently a 1 week wait for new subscribers) and then after you find something you love, you can either pair it with the pants/leggings/pajamas in your drawer or do some internet shopping (I really only recommend this for Moms who have babies that sleep through the night - and by "through the night" I don't mean the 5 hours that doctors call "sleeping through the night" I mean - "goes to sleep and then you go to sleep and then you can wake up and the baby is/might still be sleeping." Otherwise, dear Mama, go take a nap! I promise you deserve it.)
