Breastfeeding in and of itself is hard. What's even harder is getting out of the house and then potentially doing it out of the house let alone trying to look like the gorgeous Mom that you are. You focus on the baby and packing the diaper bag or pump and let me help you with the outfit and today's latest trend: feminine lace.
This was my #nursingootd the other day (did you see it on Instagram?):
Does it even look like a #breastfeeding outfit? I think not. The top is from Evereve but the bottom layer? It's a nursing tank top. I could throw a rock from my desk and hit 5 stores that are selling lace tops and of course the camisole underneath is integral, but guess what? If you replace that bottom layer cami with a nursing tank top, you'll be "on trend" and able to breastfeed or pump with ease!
Now I said I'd make this easy, right? So I'm compiling some favorite Lace Tops for your ease and I'm working with a budget of $50 or less (and please keep in mind, you will still be able to wear this lace top long after you are done with your breastfeeding journey; and in the Fall, you can pair it with a blazer or cardigan for another look!)
Who likes cream? Cream lace is a classic and the neutral color will make it super easy to pair with any blazer or cardigan (think navy and brown) in the fall. Check out this $40 cream top also from Evereve:
Or this $23 tank from the same store which also comes in some colors!
(I'm kind of digging the purple, a little more down below):
Even plus size breastfeeding Moms can follow this trend.
Macy's has a gorgeous eyelet tank for only $29:
Ot this lace back tank for only $49.50:
This pretty lace tank is only $20 at Banana Republic:
So what kind of nursing cardigan should you put underneath? ANY KIND.
The $20 basic tanks at Target are pretty good and come in lots of colors:
But what if the Target tanks don't typically work for you? Here's my best secret of all:
It's called Undercover Mama and it's a "tank top" that connects to the nursing bra that you already have
Because it comes in plus size, it's particularly helpful/practical for plus size Moms and if you're a Mom who struggled to find a good nursing bra, if you have one, then this will be your secret fashion weapon too.
Who say's you can't be a breastfeeding Mom who looks incredibly fashionable too?
